Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to support operating room efficiency and patient safety. The role involves preparing the sterile field, anticipating needs, and handling instruments and supplies with strict adherence to infection control protocols.

The position requires CST certification, BLS, and 0–2 years OR experience. On-site work with comprehensive benefits and regular attendance expectations are provided.

Competenze

• CST or equivalent certification required.
• Experience in operating room environments preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control and sterile technique.

Mansioni

• Prepares the operating room with instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Maintains sterile field and adheres to universal precautions.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments during operations.
• Handles instruments per manufacturer guidelines and hospital policy.
• Performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts with the circulating nurse.
• Aids patient positioning and draping under RN direction.
• Maintains physician preference cards and procedural documentation.
• Restocks supplies and cleans rooms for subsequent cases.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
