Job summary

Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Sioux Center, IA seeks a Certified Surgical Tech to support the surgical team in the OR and allied areas. You will assist during procedures, maintain sterile technique, and help with instrument sterilization and set-up in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include rotating through SPD, updating surgeon preference cards, and ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering quality patient care across the perioperative spectrum.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to assist surgeon within scope of competency.
• Knowledge of infection control/universal precautions.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout intraoperative period.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon during procedures and ensure sterile field.
• Rotate in SPD for instrument prep and sterilization across OR, ER, clinics.
• Update preference cards for surgeon requests and procedures.
• Comply with regulatory requirements, policies and standards.
