Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN seeks a Surgical Technologist for a PRN rotating role in the Donor Care Procurement OR. You will prepare the operating room with sterile and non-sterile instruments, hand instruments to the surgeon during procedures, and assist with patient positioning and draping.

Responsibilities include maintaining instrument counts and supporting hemostasis during surgery, with required NBSTSA certification and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Surgical Technologist credentialed from the NBSTSA obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
