Ascension Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the OR at Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN. The schedule is PRN | Day Shift, and duties include circulating and assisting surgeons during procedures.
You will prepare operating rooms and instruments, monitor patient safety and quality initiatives, and provide direct and indirect patient care following the nursing process to address the needs of patients and their families.

How you’ll make an impact in this role
Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and woundexposure as well as patient positioning.
Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Monitor compliance of patient safety, quality initiatives, and regulatory agency requirements. Allother duties as assigned.
Provide direct and indirect patient care through the application of the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating care rendered. Care provided will address physical and psychosocial needs of the patient and his/her family.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following required:
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
