Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist at St. Rita's Medical Center in Ohio to support the operative team and ensure sterile technique.

The role involves preparing instruments, assisting with case prep, and maintaining aseptic conditions throughout procedures. The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology, and CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT certification as required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology.
• Certification by CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT is required.
• One year perioperative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
• Prepares complete case prep with ability to adapt to special instruments and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
