Job summary

Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL seeks a Certified Operating Room Technician to support the Surgery department. You will prepare sterile supplies, maintain the sterile field, and hand instruments to the surgeon during procedures in a busy OR.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma, ORT training or 3+ years' surgical experience, CST certification, and a current BLS credential. This is a full-time position with a variable shift availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with at least 3 years' experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Experience scrubbing across general and specialty surgeries (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each procedure.
• Maintain sterile field during cases and assist the surgeon with supplies.
