Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist. You will scrub for operative procedures, prepare instruments, and support room turnover to ensure efficient patient flow. We value teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, surgical technologist training, and OR experience. ASC experience and ORT certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certification.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course.
• Two years previous operating room experience.
• ASC experience preferred.
• ORT certification preferred.
• Training program in military surgical technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED certification

Completion of Surgical Technologist course

Two years operating room experience

ASC experience preferred

ORT certification preferred

Military surgical technology training preferred
