Job summary

Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin, OH is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to support the operating room team in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

As the scrubbed technologist, you will assemble supplies, maintain the sterile field, perform surgical counts, retrieve specimens, assist with draping, and help with pre/post-procedure cleaning. On-call availability may be required; shift is 7am-3:30pm with potential Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology required.
• Must be certified CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT.
• BLS recommended or preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Functions as the scrub person and assembles supplies and equipment.
• Prepares sterile supplies and performs counts with the circulating RN.
• Maintains an organized sterile field and assists with draping.
• Retrieves and labels specimens accurately.
• Reports implanted devices, catheters, drains to circulator.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning and aseptic technique.
• Assists in CPR as needed.
