Job summary

Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas seeks a skilled Surgical Tech to support surgeons during operations, ensure patient safety, and assist with pre- and post-operative tasks. This role works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and adheres to hospital policies and state law.

Required: Surgical Technology training with board eligibility, 3–5 years of surgical tech experience, and current CSFA/CSA/SA-C certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• Technical School/2 Years College / Associate’s Degree: Surgical Technology, or program board eligible for SFA certification required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years surgical tech experience required; 5-8 years preferred.
• CSFA/CSA/SA-C certification required; keep current (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons with exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions.
• Attend to patients’ direct care needs under RN supervision.
• Maintain dignity, privacy, and safety of the patient; adhere to policies.

Education

Surgical Technology/surgical tech program with board eligibility for SFA certification; Bachelor's degree preferred
