Job summary

Henderson Hospital, part of Universal Health Services in Henderson, NV, seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist/First Assistant to support surgeons during procedures and ensure patient safety. Under RN supervision, you will assist with exposure, hemostasis, and other technical tasks essential to a safe operation.

Requirements include a Surgical Technology program, CSFA/CSA/SA-C certification, current BLS, and 3–5 years of surgical tech experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical School/2 Years College/Associate’s Degree: Surgical Technology, or program board eligible for SFA certification require.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists surgeons with exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions that will help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient.
• Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, attends to the patients’ direct care needs.
• Maintains a professional attitude with respect to the dignity, privacy, and safety of the patient.
