Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology course or certified surgical assistant.
• Five years CST experience required (10,400 hours) or evidence of two years of experience functioning in a first assist role.
• Certification by NBSTSA/NSAA/ABSA required; Virginia license if working in Virginia.
• BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon to facilitate safe conduct of invasive procedures.
