Valley Health in Virginia seeks a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) to support surgeons during invasive procedures. Under supervision, you ensure a safe OR environment, verify equipment function, and assist the physician to maximize patient safety.

The role requires a CST credential with NBSTSA certification, Virginia license, 5 years CST experience or 2 years as first assistant, and completion of an accredited program. Valley Health offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Five years CST experience required (10,400 hours) or evidence of two years of experience functioning in a first assist role.
• Virginia State license required prior to start of employment and NBSTSA certification required.
• Completion of approved first assistant program or within 24 months of hire date.
• All Certified Surgical First Assistants must be credentialed to work at the hospital where their work is performed. BLS/HCP required.
