Qualifications

• One year's experience preferred working with surgical supplies and instruments.
• Registered Central Service Technician (RCST).
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CBSPD).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Consistsently supports the hospital's standards and mission.
• Follows HIPAA guidelines to protect PHI.
• Promotes a culture of safety and accurate documentation.
• Cleans/decontaminates instruments and equipment.
• Assembles instrument sets for twelve surgical specialties.
• Inspects instruments and coordinates repairs as needed.
• Operates steam and Sterrad sterilizers and maintains records.
• Maintains cleanliness and adheres to OSHA/AORN/JCAHO procedures.
• Replenishes carts and inventories supplies for patient care areas.
