Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, assemble, inspect, wrap and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment for Surgical Services and ancillary departments. Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination and assembling of basic surgical trays, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Wraps or contains items according to size and type of instrument or equipment.
• Provides timely sterile products, trays and case carts in conjunction with OR staff.
• Sterilizes instruments and trays following manufacturer instructions and department policies.
