Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sr Sterile Processing Technician to maintain high standards in decontamination, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilization of surgical instruments for Surgical Services and other departments. The role interfaces with OR staff to provide timely sterile products and case carts, upholding excellent customer service.

Required: Sterile Processing certification (CRCST or CSPDT) and at least two years of sterile processing experience, with strong English

Qualifications

• Two years of sterile processing experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Sterile Processing certification: CRCST or CSPDT is required.
• Demonstrates English language proficiency and ability to communicate with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Identify and prioritize sterile products for OR staff based on surgery schedules.
• Maintain workflow between OR and Sterile Processing with strong customer service.
• Adhere to Universal Precautions and department policies.
