Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sr Sterile Processing Technician to maintain high standards for decontamination, assembly, inspection, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments for Surgical Services and ancillary departments. You will collaborate with OR staff to provide timely sterile products, trays, and case carts while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires Sterile Processing certification (CRCST or CSPDT) and demonstrates advanced knowledge of sterilization

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Two years of sterile processing experience.
• Sterile Processing certification: CRCST or CSPDT.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a positive work environment and collaborates with the OR and Sterile Processing teams to ensure safe, timely sterile products.
• Performs decontamination and assembling of complex trays and equipment following SOPs.
• Maintains compliance with universal precautions and quality standards.
