Advocate Health is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist to perform general, vascular, and cardiac ultrasound studies. The role includes reviewing patient information, ensuring exam accuracy, and maintaining patient comfort throughout procedures.

The candidate will label images correctly, document findings, and assist with equipment evaluation. This position requires adherence to safety standards and flexible scheduling in a fast-paced imaging department.

Qualifications

• Competency in all general and/or vascular sonographic procedures.
• Ability to use independent judgment to differentiate normal vs pathologic findings.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and caregivers.
• Knowledge of and adherence to department, facility and organization policies.

Responsabilités

• Operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and/or cardiac studies.
• Review patient records and physician orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patient and select transducer and factors for accurate imaging.
• Identify and label images with patient details and location.
• Document findings and enter study information into RIS for charges.
• Monitor equipment performance and evaluate new products.
