Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join the Imaging Services team. The role involves rotating between two clinics (Six Points and Franklin West), performing general, vascular and cardiac ultrasound exams, and ensuring accurate documentation and coding.

Must have ARDMS registrations and BLS, with typically 2 years of sonography experience. The position offers full-time hours, benefits, and a structured schedule within a patient-focused environment.

• Proficiency in all general and/or vascular sonographic procedures routinely performed in the hiring department.
• Ability to use independent judgment to differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.

Responsabilidades

• Proficiently operates ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac procedures/studies; differentiates normal vs. pathologic findings.
• Reviews patient records and orders to ensure exam accuracy; obtains necessary clinical information.
• Positions patient and selects transducer and factors for accurate ultrasound procedures; ensures patient safety and comfort.
• Uses sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures based on anatomy and diagnostic information.
• Identifies and labels images with patient name, MRU, and scan location.
• Maintains records in RIS and documents billing codes for charges.
• Identifies equipment issues, communicates with staff, and evaluates new products for future use.
• Analyzes sonograms and communicates findings to physicians; serves as a resource to staff.
• Participates in quality improvement and accreditation initiatives within the site or system.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care appropriate to age-specific patient needs.
