Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform general, vascular, and cardiac ultrasound studies on-site. You will review orders and patient records, position patients, adjust transducers and factors to obtain high-quality images while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include accurate image labeling, data entry into the radiology information system, evaluating equipment performance, and communicating findings to physicians.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in approved sonography program.
• Knowledge of general and vascular sonography procedures.
• Ability to differentiate normal vs. pathologic findings.
• Strong patient communication and aseptic technique.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular, and cardiac studies.
• Review patient records and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patients and select transducers to obtain accurate images.
• Identify and adapt procedures based on anatomy and diagnostic info.
• Label images with patient name, MRU, and scan location.
• Enter study data into RIS and document billing codes.
• Identify equipment issues and assess new products.
• Analyze sonograms and communicate findings to physicians.
• Care for patients across age groups according to department policies.
