YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a dedicated Group Exercise Instructor to lead engaging classes and support participants in a safe, energetic manner.

You will greet participants, track attendance, adapt workouts to abilities, and complete required certifications within 90 days. The role offers full-time benefits including healthcare, paid holidays, PTO, retirement contributions, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of participation in group exercise class(es) required.
• Possess and maintain a current Group Exercise certificate of completion or specialty certificate from a reputable organization for each specialized group modality.
• Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group exercise classes in a safe, enthusiastic, thorough, courteous and professional manner.
• Greet participants and learn their names; take class attendance.
• Familiarize yourself with Upace Group Ex technology and sub tracking features.
• Check and respond to YMCA emails in a timely fashion.
• Identify participants’ limitations and adapt classes accordingly; provide modifications.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle and participate in special events and trainings.
