Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine in Coatesville, PA seeks a Group Exercise Instructor to lead safe, energetic classes following YMCA guidelines. You will greet participants, take attendance, and ensure classes start and end on time while adapting routines to participants’ needs.

Must hold a Zumba certification and a Group Exercise certificate, be 18+ with at least 1 year of group exercise experience. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Zumba certification required.
• At least 1 year of participation in group exercise classes.
• Must obtain and maintain current Group Exercise certificate(s) of completion or specialty certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduled group exercise classes in a safe, enthusiastic, courteous, and professional manner.
• Greet participants, learn names, take attendance, and manage sub coverage.
• Familiarize with Upace Group Ex technology (sub tracking, class contact, cancellations).
• Identify participant limitations and adapt or modify routines accordingly.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle and proper equipment use.
• Attend advanced training workshops and participate in events.
• Ensure compliance with YMCA policies and procedures.
