Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations at our Warrenton, VA location. Under supervision by the pharmacist, you will enter patient information, fill prescriptions, and help ensure accuracy and compliance with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities include inventory management, processing third-party claims, assisting customers at the OTC aisle, and supporting clinical services as needed. A customer-focused, team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists by entering patient and drug information in pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs; verify medicine is correct.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory management activities and manage shipments.
• Assist customers to OTC aisle and handle cash register responsibilities.
• Support pharmacy manager and staff pharmacist in analyzing KPIs and improving workflow.
