Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists under supervision, filing prescriptions, entering patient and drug information, and supporting front-end functions to ensure accurate dispensing and a distinctive customer experience. The role emphasizes high attention to detail, English fluency, willingness to work evenings and weekends, and obtaining or maintaining PTCB/ExCPT certification.

Prior Walgreens experience is a plus.

Qualifications

PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations with a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

Assist in dispensing prescriptions under supervision of the pharmacist.
Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems; verify accuracy.
Assist with inventory management and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
Handle non-clinical duties including taking calls and assisting customers in-store.
Process manual third-party prescription claims efficiently and accurately.
