Job summary

Ascension in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Registered Nurse to implement and monitor patient care plans and coordinate across disciplines. You will note and carry out physician and nursing orders while supporting discharge planning with the healthcare team.

The role requires a Wisconsin nursing license or a current multi-state license and a BLS provider credential within 30 days of hire. Comprehensive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire (AHA or ARC accepted).
• RN credentialed by Wisconsin Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• Wisconsin licensure OR current multi-state/Compact state license.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
