Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Inpatient Pharmacy Services team. This full-time, day-shift role involves providing distributive pharmacy services, maintaining automated dispensing systems, and supporting pharmacists prior to certification.

The position requires Tennessee Board of Pharmacy registration within 90 days and preferred NHA/PTCB certification.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the Pharmacist prior to receiving certification.
• Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
• Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the Pharmacy department.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds.
• Repackage bulk medications.

Education

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
