Centerstone is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) to support individuals with mental illness or addiction in achieving recovery goals. The role involves facilitating recovery-focused groups, helping participants articulate personal goals, and addressing barriers within a supportive, trauma-informed setting.

Experience with recovery stories is valued, and documentation is performed in EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience: 18 years of age or older; minimum one year of recovery.
• Certification: CPRS certification required; valid driver’s license and proof of insurance; F-endorsement within 30 days of hire; state-approved training verification; certification within 90 days if not currently certified.

• Verbalize understanding of recovery concepts to others.
• Assist clients in identifying personal strengths in daily living and recovery.
• Be professional with respect and encouragement.
• Encourage center involvement by modeling a positive attitude.
• Respect confidentiality and program ethics.
• Facilitate groups that promote recovery through education and advocacy.
• Document peer progress in electronic medical records.
• Attend trainings.
• Assist with daily activities including group prep, meal prep, and transportation as needed.
