Open Sky Community Services is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to provide direct peer support to individuals and families, using shared experiences to build trust and collaboration. You will help clients develop skills such as stress management, relapse prevention, and goal planning through wellness tools like WRAP.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Must be a CARC or willing to obtain CARC within one year (Open Sky pays for certification).
• Must have lived experience with substance use disorder and ability to build relationships with people served while maintaining boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Assist Persons in developing and monitoring personal recovery goals using a self-directed plan.
• Conduct 1:1 and group activities to increase readiness for rehabilitation; facilitate peer groups.
• Facilitate development of valued community roles including group memberships, employment or volunteering.
• Maintain knowledge of consumer-operated programs and Recovery Learning Communities.
