Open Sky Community Services seeks a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to provide direct peer support, drawing on lived experience to foster trust, engagement and empowerment in individuals and families across Central Massachusetts.

You will assist clients in setting and monitoring personal goals, conducting group and one-to-one activities, and connecting people with community resources while maintaining professional boundaries and ethics.

Formación

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable, insured vehicle and acceptable driving record.
• Must have lived experience with substance use disorder and the ability to forge mutually beneficial relationships while maintaining strong boundaries/ethics.
• Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) or willingness to obtain CARC within one year of employment; Open Sky pays for certification.

Responsabilidades

• Assist individuals in developing, implementing, and monitoring personal goals through self-directed planning processes.
• Conduct one-to-one and group-based activities that promote engagement, skill development, self-advocacy, wellness, and personal growth.
• Facilitate peer support groups and opportunities for shared learning, mutual support, and community connection.
• Support individuals in developing meaningful community roles and connections, including education, employment, volunteering, recreation, and social opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of peer-led services and resources to connect individuals with opportunities aligned to their interests and needs.
