Job summary

Open Sky Community Services in Worcester, MA, is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to provide direct peer support and mentorship grounded in lived experience. You will help individuals identify goals, build self-confidence, develop coping strategies, and strengthen connections to community resources.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and be willing to obtain CARC within a year.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with substance use disorder is required to connect authentically with individuals served.
• CARC certification or willingness to obtain within one year of employment, Open Sky pays for certification.
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable vehicle and insurable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct peer support to individuals and families, using lived experiences to foster trust and engagement.
• Lead one-to-one and group activities promoting engagement, skill development, and self-advocacy.
• Assist individuals in setting personal goals and monitoring progress through self-directed planning.
