Job summary

Child & Family Services, Inc. is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to provide non-clinical, recovery-oriented peer support to members receiving behavioral health services in community settings.

You will use lived experience to promote hope, support self-determination, and help clients pursue personal wellness goals while coordinating with care teams and resources. This role requires flexibility to work varied shifts and travel within MA; CPS credential or progress toward credentialing is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CPS credential or active progress toward credentialing.
• Current Certified Peer Specialist credential or progress toward credentialing as a CPS.
• Ability to work in community-based settings and collaborate with clients, families, providers, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, recovery-oriented peer support in community settings.
• Assist clients with housing, insurance, food assistance, education, career, and other needs.
• Establish trusting, strength-based relationships and promote self-determination.
• Advocate, coach, and provide psychoeducation to clients and families.
• Coordinate with care teams and make internal/external referrals to peer/parent support and community resources.
• Maintain records and participate in supervision and scheduling activities.
