Job summary

Hoffman Construction in Boise, ID seeks a Federal Wage Compliance Specialist to ensure certified payroll compliance across large federally funded programs. The role interprets DBRA and prevailing wage rules, supports contractors and internal teams, and helps reduce risk through robust process improvements.

This in-office position offers a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 DOE plus incentives. You will provide technical guidance, support audits, and stay current with labor compliance standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of experience in payroll, compliance, auditing, certified payroll, prevailing wage, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) and certified payroll requirements preferred.
• Experience with certified payroll software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical reviews of certified payroll submissions to ensure compliance with applicable federal labor requirements.
• Analyze payroll records, wage classifications, fringe benefits, apprenticeship requirements, and related compliance documentation.
• Monitor contractor compliance, identify discrepancies, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Interpret federal regulations, contract requirements, and labor compliance standards to support compliance activities.
