Synchrony is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in an interdisciplinary setting. The OTA will work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to deliver therapeutic interventions and support patient progress.

Must hold a valid state OTA license/certification with CPR preferred; education must be from an accredited OTA program. 0–1 years of experience is acceptable. Location: US-IN-Muncie; benefits include weekly pay, insurance, and 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification
• Current CPR certification, preferred
• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
• Experience: 0-1 years

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation of patients’ responses to therapy and report progress to the supervising OT.
• Provide education to patients and families on home exercises and adaptive techniques.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations.
