Job summary

Recover-Care seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed OTs in delivering therapy services in SNF settings. You will help develop treatment plans, carry out routine tasks, and document progress under state laws.

You will select activities, monitor progress, educate patients and families, assist with home programs, and ensure equipment is safe and ready. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities to fit patients’ needs and capabilities; observe and record progress.
• Communicate and collaborate with other health care professionals involved with the care of a patient.
• Instruct or assist in home programs, basic living skills, and use of adaptive equipment; implement treatment plans.
• Assess daily living skills and assist patients with dressing and grooming.
• Maintain equipment and materials for patient use.
• Demonstrate therapy techniques and teach emotional coping strategies.
• Attend care plan meetings to review patient progress and update plans.
