Job summary

Recover-Care in Ohio is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed occupational therapists in providing care for patients in SNF settings. You will help develop treatment plans, perform routine tasks, and document progress while ensuring patient safety and dignity.

The role requires an Associate’s degree, current OT Assistant licensure, and strong communication skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current state licensure as Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities to fit patients’ needs and capabilities; observe, record progress, and maintain records.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals involved in patient care.
• Instruct patients and families in home programs and use of adaptive equipment; assist in implementing treatment plans.
• Assess daily living skills and capabilities; aid patients in dressing and grooming.
• Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials for patient use.
• Demonstrate therapy techniques such as manual and creative arts or games.
• Teach patients to manage emotions constructively.
• Attend care plan meetings to review progress and update plans.
