Job summary

Recover-Care Heartland is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support a team of therapists in providing essential occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Responsibilities include selecting activities, implementing treatment plans, and educating patients and families. The position requires current OTA licensure and an associate degree, with travel as needed to support patient care across locations.

• Assess daily living skills and capacities; aid dressing and grooming.
• Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials for patient use.
• Demonstrate therapy techniques such as manual or creative arts or games.
• Teach patients how to manage emotions.
• Attend care plan meetings to review patient progress and update plans.
