Recover-Care is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed therapists in a skilled nursing facility setting. You will document progress, help implement treatment plans, and promote client independence through therapeutic activities.

The role emphasizes collaboration with health care professionals, direct patient and family instruction, and adherence to state and professional standards. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold an OTA associate degree and state licensure to practice.
• Ability to implement and document treatment progress per plans.
• Strong communication and collaboration with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities to fit patients’ needs and capabilities; observe and record progress.
• Communicate and collaborate with other health care professionals.
• Instruct patients and families in home programs and care of adaptive equipment.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans to help clients function independently.
• Assess daily living skills and aid in dressing and grooming.
• Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment for patient use.
• Demonstrate therapy techniques and teach coping strategies.
• Attend care plan meetings to review patient progress.
