Job summary

Recover-Care Healthcare seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed therapists in a skilled nursing facility. You will assist in developing treatment plans, perform routine tasks, and document patient progress under state law.

You will select therapy activities, monitor progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote independence and functional living skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited OT program.
• Current state licensure as OTA.
• Proficiency with applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Selects therapy activities to fit patients’ needs and tracks progress.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care.
• Instructs patients and families in home programs and use of adaptive equipment; assists with treatment plans.
• Assesses daily living skills and aids patients in dressing and grooming.
• Assembles, cleans, and maintains equipment and materials for patient use.
• Demonstrates therapy techniques such as manual and creative arts or games.
• Attends care plan meetings to review patient progress.
