Qualifications

• High School GED or High School Diploma.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or TS-C.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR.
• Must be able to take call shifts as assigned.
• Preferred: One year experience as an OR technician.

Responsibilities

• Aseptic technique: scrub, gown, gloves; maintain sterile field.
• Surgical scrub: set up OR, obtain supplies, assist with instrument handling.
• Turnover: clean OR, remove waste, re-sterilize supplies, restock.
• Preceptor: assist in orientation and training of new staff.
• Surgical conscience: enforce sterility and safety standards.
• Quality: participate in OR quality initiatives and record-keeping.
