Recover-Care is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing setting. You will assist in developing treatment plans, perform routine tasks, and document progress under supervision.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to implement plans and teach patients and families home programs and adaptive skills. This role emphasizes patient independence and quality of care.

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current state licensure as Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Aufgaben

• Select therapy activities to fit patients’ needs and capabilities. Observe and record progress, attitudes, and behavior.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals involved with the care of a patient.
• Instruct patients and families in home programs, basic living skills, and the use of adaptive equipment. Implement treatment plans to help clients function independently.
• Assess daily living skills and capacities of disabled clients; assist in dressing and grooming.
• Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials for patient use.
• Demonstrate therapy techniques and educate patients in managing emotions.
• Attend care plan meetings to review patient progress and update care plans.
