WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Job Summary: The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting consistent with their qualifications, professional standards, and ethical practices.

Licenses and Certifications: Must hold and maintain a current, valid state OTA license or certification. CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications: Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program. Experience: 0-1 years.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, and other interventions.
2. Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve their functional abilities and independence.
3. Observe and document patients’ responses to therapy, track progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
4. Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies for continued progress.
5. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
6. Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, offering additional observations and insights.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
