Administers programs of Occupational Therapy (OT) and conducts OT programs to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach their maximum level of independence. Contributes to appropriate care plans in collaboration with OTRs, patients, and families to assist in achieving maximum function. Facilitates participation in daily living activities, improves quality of life through prescribed exercises, hands-on care, and patient education, helping individuals gain or regain independence.
Lift and carry 40–50 lbs. Examples include pushing/pulling patients on beds or stretchers, lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of patient weight. Frequent standing/walking; may involve kneeling, bending, squatting, and performing CPR.
