Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital in Stevens Point, WI, is seeking a CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT to join our MED/SURG team!

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the patient care team, responsible for assisting with patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. The CNA works within the Professional Practice Model of Aspirus, which provides a set of values and beliefs guiding clinical practice and nursing decisions.

HOURS: Part-Time or 0.3 FTE, 30 Hours Biweekly, Varied Shifts; Days/Nights

Experience/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices, typically acquired through a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent, along with completion of a nursing assistant course.
• One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting is beneficial; experience in post-acute care or nursing homes is also advantageous.
• Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry is required; current registry status is recommended.
• For Float, Palliative Care Unit (PCU), Home Health, and Hospice, a current CNA registry is required.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire is required. All clinical personnel must maintain BLS training through independent study, online manikin, and knowledge testing, using programs like the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Annual CEUs/continuing education as per Education Council recommendations.
