Job Details

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Remote

Pay Range: $26.00/hr

Work Schedule: Thursday to Sunday, 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm MST

Training Schedule

1. Meetings on Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm MST for two weeks
2. Third week: Meeting on Thursday and an additional weekday assigned by trainer
3. Fourth week: Work two weekdays assigned by trainer

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate after-hours RN telephone triage care to hospice and home health patients and caregivers
• Communicate empathetically, especially in difficult situations
• Assess patient needs and give care instructions
• Coordinate with healthcare team members
• Document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR)

Qualifications

• RN license in a compact state (in good standing)
• 4+ years of clinical nursing experience; experience in home health, palliative, med-surg, geriatrics, ICU, ER, or hospice preferred
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
• Proficiency with computers and telecommunications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Pass background check and drug test
• Meet California RN prerequisites for RN Examination and Endorsements: https://www.rn.ca.gov/status.shtml
