Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT to join our MED/SURG team!

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. The CNA works within the Professional Practice Model of Aspirus, which provides a set of values and beliefs guiding clinical practice and nursing service decisions.

HOURS: Full-time or 0.9 FTE, 72 hours biweekly, night shift, every 3rd holiday, every 3rd weekend.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices, typically acquired through a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, along with completion of a nursing assistant course.
• One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting is beneficial; experience in a post-acute care setting or nursing home is also advantageous.
• Current listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry is required; registry status is recommended.
• For Float, Palliative Care Unit (PCU), Home Health, and Hospice roles, a current CNA registry is required.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. All clinical personnel in these roles must maintain BLS training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing, following the American Heart Association or American Red Cross protocols.
• Annual completion of CEUs/continuing education as per Education Council recommendations.
