$17.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Medi Home Health & Hospice, a division of Medical Services of America, Inc., seeks a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Hospice Aide for our Hospice patients in Christiansburg, Radford, Pulaski, Blacksburg (Montgomery) VA.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the CNA works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Case Manager and Clinical Manager to provide personal care services that maximize patient comfort and health. Responsibilities include:

• Providing personal care: recording temperature, pulse, respiration; maintaining a clean and safe environment; assisting with hygiene.
• Applying safety principles and proper body mechanics, especially when assisting with mobility.
• Preparing and providing adequate nutrition and fluid intake.
• Observing, reporting, and documenting changes in patient status; understanding basic body functions and reporting changes accordingly.
• Recognizing emergency situations and implementing appropriate procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Licensed/Certified as a CNA or Home Health Aide in VA.
• Minimum of one year experience as an aide.
• Home Health and/or Hospice experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Reliable transportation.
