Job summary

A leading company is seeking Hospice Triage Nurses to work remotely, providing compassionate care while enjoying the flexibility of home-based work. Candidates must have a Compact RN license and experience in end-of-life care. This part-time role offers a structured schedule, training, and opportunities for additional shifts. Nurses will earn $23/hour with potential for rate increases and additional benefits.

**MUST live in/work from a Compact US state

**Experience with end-of-life care is required

**Must have high-speed internet

**Must be tech-savvy, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and have keyboard competence

**Part-time nurses only work 6 days out of a 14-day pay period

Part-time schedule:
  1. Work a minimum of 2 evening shifts weekly, 3:30 p.m. - 12 a.m. CST (shift times are set, weekday flexes)
  2. Work every other weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, 3:30 p.m. - 12 a.m. CST

Our Hospice Triage Nurses:

  • Have experience in hospice, palliative, end-of-life care, and fast-paced environments: ED, critical care, surgical services, etc.
  • Work a minimum of 1 weekday shift and every other weekend, both Saturday and Sunday
  • Receive three weeks of remote paid training. The schedule varies based on availability

  • You can pick up additional shifts, if available, for the clients you are trained to support.
  • We will provide you with a laptop and headset.
  • You’re required to use your own high-speed internet.
  • You’ll need a quiet, private space, away from noise and distractions, while you work (privacy/HIPAA compliant space required).
  • You’ll access EMRs for charting and utilize our internal applications to perform job functions.
  • You MUST be able to follow instructions, read directions, and be confident using technology.
  • A minimum of 30 minutes paid shift prep is required prior to taking calls.
  • At the end of your shift, you’ll spend 30 minutes to 2 hours completing remaining charting before clocking out.

  • MUST have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license (states with pending or future implementation dates are not considered current compact states until the implementation date)
  • You must remain in good standing and keep your home state license active.
    • We will cover the cost of non-compact state licensure if necessary for client support.
  • Experience in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care is strongly preferred
  • Experience in fast-paced environments: ED, surgical services, critical care, etc.
  • Comfortable accessing multiple technology applications to document during calls
  • Ability and confidence in typing quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a bonus
  • Legally reside in the U.S. and be eligible to work for any employer
  • Ability to complete three weeks of remote paid training conducted during days and evenings
  • Availability to work every other Saturday and Sunday
  • Availability to work some holidays as required
  • Ability to handle stress and multitask during calls (minimum 5 calls/hour on weekdays, up to 8/hour on weekends)
  • Capable of empathic communication with patients while adhering to protocols
  • Maintain CEUs as required by your state
  • Attend in-services and additional training as needed
  • Pass background check and nurse licensing verification

All remote Hospice Triage RNs, once trained, earn $23/hour. Opportunities to increase your hourly rate are available. Nurses are eligible for a $1 shift differential for overnight and weekend shifts. PTO is accrued based on hours worked, and full-time nurses may participate in medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurances, as well as 401(k) plans.
