Job summary

Otterbein Tipp City is seeking skilled Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA/STNA) to provide compassionate, person-centered care. The team delivers day-to-day support in various settings, including long-term care and home health environments.

Positions include Full-time, Part-time, and PRN with shifts from 6a–6p and 6p–6a. A focus on dignity, safety, and collaborative care defines the role, along with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of an approved nurse aide training program; Ohio certification required.
• Must pass state test and be listed on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry.
• Strong communication and reading/writing ability; follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to use lift technique and equipment for resident mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with preventative, therapeutic, and restorative nursing procedures.
• Assist with personal hygiene, feeding, dressing, ambulating and transferring residents.
• Complete required documentation and report safety hazards.
• Work with residents, families and health care team in a respectful manner.
• Attend in-service programs and maintain resident dignity and privacy.

Job Types: Full-time & Part-time First Shift (6a-6p), Full-time Third Shift (6p-6a) & PRN

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents in preventative, therapeutic, and restorative nursing procedures; adhering to safety and infection control policies and procedures.
• Assisting with personal hygiene, feeding, dressing, ambulating and transferring residents.
• Completing all required documentation; reporting defective equipment or other potential safety hazards.
• Working with residents, families, members of the health care team and other employees in a pleasant, respectful and cooperative manner.
• Attending all in-service programs as required by facility and state/federal guidelines.
• Respecting and maintaining resident’s dignity, privacy and confidentiality according to Residents Bill of Rights.
• Performing other duties as assigned, such as, soiled linen disposal.
• Provide a wide range of support services under the supervision of a nurse.
• Help our residents feel comfortable and as independent as possible while they live their daily lives.
• Provide accurate, efficient and timely care documentation.
• Perform other duties as needs arise and/or assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is preferred.
• Satisfactory completion of an approved nurse aide training program, testing and certified as required by the State of Ohio. Applicants must pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
• Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA/STNA certification required in the State of Ohio. Applicants must have passed the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry. If you have not tested and will not be state tested within 60 days of starting, please apply for a Resident/Household Aide.
• Must be in good standing with the Nurse Aide Registry.
• Must have good communication skills and ability to read, write and follow oral & written instructions.
• Good documentation, communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to use proper lift technique and lift equipment to move, lift and transfer residents.
