Otterbein SeniorLife in Dayton, OH, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) for 1st shift full-time and 1st/2nd/3rd shift part-time and PRN roles. Certification is required in Ohio. Starting pay is $18.50/hour with experience, plus shift differentials of $3.00 for 2nd shift and $1.50 for 3rd shift.

You will care for residents, document care, assist with meals, and help residents feel independent and comfortable. Benefits include health, PTO, retirement, tuition assistance, and more.

Qualifications

• Experience includes good documentation and clear communication.
• Ability to use lift technique and equipment for resident transfers.

Responsibilities

• Care for residents needing help with bathing, eating, ambulating, and hair care.
• Provide support services under nurse supervision.
• Encourage resident independence and comfort in daily activities.
• Maintain accurate care documentation in a timely manner.
• Plan and share meals with residents and assist with cooking when needed.
• Laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Job Types: Full-time 1st shift, Part-Time 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift, and PRN

Responsibilities:

• Care for the residents who need assistance with day-to-day tasks such as bathing, eating, ambulating, and hair care.
• Provide a wide range of support services under the supervision of a nurse.
• Help our residents feel comfortable and as independent as possible while they live their daily lives.
• Provide accurate, efficient and timely care documentation.
• Planning and cooking their favorite foods and eating a meal with them.
• Laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
• Perform other duties as needs arise and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA/STNA certification required in the State of Ohio. Applicants must pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
• Experience: Good documentation, communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to use proper lift technique and lift equipment to move, lift and transfer residents.
