Job summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant at Johns Hopkins Care at Home provides essential personal care and basic non-nursing support in patients' homes, under the supervision of a registered nurse.

This PRN/casual on-call role requires commitment to at least 36 hours per month and a Maryland CNA license with current CPR. A driver’s license is preferred and prior CNA experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active CNA License certification with the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS CPR certification from either American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Active Driver's license preferred.
• 6 months experience as a CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services and basic non-nursing/non-medical care.
• Work 1:1 with patients in the home under RN supervision.

Job Summary

The Certified Nursing assistant is a member of the home support team who is primarily responsible for providing personal care services as well as various basic non-nursing/non-medical care activities for the patient. These activities are performed in accordance with a written assignment and under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Requires active, valid CNA License certification with the Maryland State Board of Nursing
• Current BLS CPR certification from either American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Active Driver's license preferred
• 6 months experience as a CNA preferred

Salary Range

Minimum $17.00/hour - Maximum $17.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
