Job summary

Johns Hopkins Care at Home (JHCH) is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the home support team. You will provide personal care and basic non-nursing care to patients in their homes, under the supervision of a registered nurse, and you will work 1:1 with clients across the Johns Hopkins network.

The role requires a Maryland CNA license, BLS CPR certification, and is on a PRN/casual on-call schedule with a commitment of at least 36 hours per month.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active CNA License certification with the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS CPR certification from ARC or AHA.
• Active Driver's license preferred.
• 6 months experience as a CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services to patients in the home.
• Perform basic non-nursing/non-medical care activities as assigned.
• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Provide care 1:1 with clients in the home setting.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Certified Nursing assistant is a member of the home support team who is primarily responsible for providing personal care services as well as various basic non-nursing/non-medical care activities for the patient. These activities are performed in accordance with a written assignment and under the supervision of a registered nurse.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Requires active, valid CNA License certification with the Maryland State Board of Nursing
• Current BLS CPR certification from either American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Active Driver's license preferred
• 6 months experience as a CNA preferred

Salary Range: Minimum $17.00/hour - Maximum $17.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
